BHHS Leadership Fellows and BHHS Awards

LEADERSHIP FELLOWS PROGRAM

BACKGROUND

In 2021, leadership of the Board on Health and Human Sciences (BHHS) recognized the need to develop a pipeline of tomorrow’s leaders to advance its mission. The Leadership Fellows Program is designed to provide an opportunity for recognized talent to develop leadership skills and enter into leadership positions in programs represented by the BHHS. Those identified as potential leaders will be encouraged to apply for the program, participate fully in the activities, and pursue future leadership appointments. This program is designed to provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to fellows, and support fellows to complete their administrative projects.

HAPPENING NOW

As we strive to enhance the impact of the BHHS and better serve our diverse community, we invite you to participate in a survey focused on current needs and future priorities of our member institutions. Led by Dr. Jennifer Margrett of Iowa State University, this survey is a vital component of her capstone BHHS Leadership Fellows project. Your feedback is essential in shaping the future direction of BHHS and ensuring we address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by our members.

Why your input matters:

  • Informing Priorities: As subject matter experts across the health and human sciences, your insights will guide us in understanding the current landscape of HHS across public and land-grant universities.
  • Member support: The data collected will directly influence our planning and initiatives, ensuring BHHS remains responsive to the evolving needs of our community.

You may access the survey here until April 30, 2024, and for any inquiries or additional information, please reach out to Dr. Jennifer Margrett at margrett@iastate.edu
